Back in 1972, a group of people from Cornwall came together with one simple thing in common: a love of vehicles and the stories they carried. From polished classics to hardworking machines that had served farms, roads, and families for generations, each vehicle represented craftsmanship, character, and memories worth preserving.
Gerald Sandow
he was one of the founding member of the KOVC. Gerald was heavily involved with the committee, being elected to many posts, including Stationary Engine Secretary, Vice Chairman, Chairman, Treasurer Vice President and President. Gerald was in the club for 38 years, he went for his 1st meeting on 10th December 1972 at the royal hotel, 1973-72 stationary engine secretary, 1976-78 vice chairman, 1979-1980 chairman, 1982-83 treasurer, 1984-86 president and treasurer, 1987-1990 treasurer, 1991-92 on committee, 1992-2002 treasurer after that Rodney took over from Gerald, 2004- 2005 on committee, 2005 – Gerald become registrar and insurance secretary from the comfort of his home, Gerald stayed on til the day he died on 25th July 2011, who will be dearly missed.

As years go by different people have taken on the position of Chair of the club, as we have kept the memory alive, We made a decision in 2025 to make this club a limited company from Kernow old Vehicle club to Kernow old vehicle club ltd.
